Epilepsy App for patients: Epilepsy Help

A mobile application (APP) for epilepsy patients Epilepsy App, a first time feat in the country, was launched on 10th April 2016, Nellore, India, by Dr Bindu Menon Foundation [Figure 1]. It can be downloaded on an Android phone from the Play Store by typing “Epilepsy Help” [Figure 2]. There are no patents applied for the app. This is a free download in three languages (English, Hindi and Telugu). This App with information about epilepsy is a comprehensive application with 15 subcategories. Patients can enter their personal data and have a seizure diary to note events, Let an alarm for medicines and there is also an appointment tracker. Patients can upload their blood, neuroimaging and seizure videos as well. When a patient experiences auras, he/she can alert a friend or relative with an 'ALERT' option that dials the saved emergency contact. This App can make the epilepsy patient confident and help in managing his/her own disease with the respective treating physician.{Figure 1}{Figure 2}
